39th Sinulog de Kabankalan Headdress Competition

The 39^th Sinulog de kabankalan festival started one of its biggest events which is the headdress Competition at Robinsons MallBacolod City.The Contest would run from January 4-11.Designed with Creative resourceful materials and colourful accessories one interesting criteria is that despite how big or gigantic the headdress are  it must be fit to wear.

The talented creative and unique designs of the competitors made Robinsons Bacolod makes you feel like you’re in Kabankalan City celebrating Sinulog de Kabankalan fest. You’ll be really amazed on how ethnically and colourfully the designs are. From an ancient Kabankalanon warrior to a religious  Sto. Niño styles. From full body costumes to a man sized headdress.

Each design is totally different and original. It represents theyre population, culture and belief. It just truly shows how creative and resourceful Filipinos are. They really represent
the true essence of Sinulog de kabankalan Festival.

The Sinulog de Kabnkalan is the Kabankalan City version of the “Ati-atihan Festival”.It was born in 1976 at Kabankalan City and is celebrated every third Sunday of January. It is also their celebration of thanksgiving for the Señor Sto. Niño that saved them from the Moros that attacked them before from their early history.
